Introduction
As Clerk of Court, my focus will be strong leadership built on respectful communication and fair treatment for every employee. I will lead by example, listen to staff, and hold everyone (including leadership) accountable. By improving internal processes, we can reduce wait times, eliminate confusion, and make it easier for citizens to get clear, accurate information about their cases and court procedures.
Efficiency and Accessibility
Every citizen deserves a courthouse that runs smoothly and is easy to navigate. I will improve efficiency and expand accessibility so people of all backgrounds and abilities can receive the service they’re entitled to without unnecessary delays or obstacles.
Transparency and Accountability
Honesty and responsibility must be at the center of this office. I will make transparency and accountability standard practice, ensuring processes are clear and leadership is answerable for decisions. Restoring trust starts with open communication and a commitment to doing the right thing.
Technology and Modernization
The people who understand the office best are the ones who work in it every day. Right now, decisions are made by too few, which creates frustration and low morale. That isn’t leadership. I believe in a collaborative approach where staff help identify what works and what needs improvement. By involving employees, encouraging teamwork and valuing their expertise, we can modernize the office in ways that truly serve Cabarrus County.
Customer Service
Everyone who walks through the door should be treated with patience, kindness, and respect. I will ensure citizens receive clear communication, timely assistance, and staff who are trained to go the extra mile. Good customer service is not an option — it’s a responsibility.
