Meet Resa Travis
About Me
I was born in North Carolina, grew up in Charlotte, and moved to Cabarrus County in February 2022. My family includes my husband, Mike and our daughter, Tanner. This is home and I’m ready to serve our neighbors with the care and steadiness this office deserves.
Proffessional Experience
I began my career in the Clerk’s office at 24, when I was offered the role of Deputy Clerk. I served in that position for 14 years before being promoted to Assistant Clerk, a role I held for 18 years.
Decades of hands-on experience inside the courthouse have prepared me to serve as your next Clerk of Superior Court. I understand the work, the responsibilities, and the people who depend on this office every day.
Community Involvement
I’m actively involved at Redemption Church of Concord, where I volunteer in the soup kitchen and serve in the ladies’ ministry. Giving my time to the community has always been important to me and it’s shaped how I approach service in every part of my life.
Why I’m Running
I’m running for Clerk of Court because the office deserves steady leadership and a healthy workplace culture. Morale has suffered for too long. I want to restore pride in the office, support the staff who work hard every day and ensure the public receives the level of service they expect and deserve.
My promise to Cabarrus County is to lead the Clerk of Court’s office with integrity, transparency, and accountability. This isn’t just a community to me — it’s my home. I will work every day to make the office more efficient and more accessible for every citizen. I believe in respectful leadership, excellent customer service, and making decisions openly and fairly. I’m committed to rebuilding trust, restoring pride, and creating an office that truly serves the people.
